Scholarships Requirements and Benefits

Who Can Apply?

Applying for a National ROTC Scholarship is easy. If selected for a scholarship, you can earn either a Three of Four Year Scholarship. Most people who apply fit into one of these categories:

  • For high school students, the window to apply for an ROTC National Scholarship is between June of your Junior year through March of your Senior Year.
  • Prospective college graduate studies students who already have 4 year degrees and are considering an advanced degree
  • Prospective college students who are high school graduates with less than 30 college credits

Scholarships Requirements

  • Be a citizen of the United States
  • Be between the ages of 17 and 26
  • Have a high school GPA of at least 2.50
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Provide score report for the SAT (two-part) or ACT
  • Agree to accept a commission and serve in the Army on Active Duty or in a Reserve Component (Army Reserve or Army National Guard)

Scholarships Benefits

  • 100% Tuition Paid
  • Book Money ($1200 per year)
  • Monthly Pay ($420 per month)

The Niagara Advantage

  • Free First Year Tuition. Niagara University offers a “3+1” tuition deal. This means that if you apply and are selected for a National ROTC Scholarship three-year scholarship, Niagara will pay for your first-year tuition
  • Free Room & Board while on the ROTC scholarship.
