Captain Christopher Rollin James Hurd entered the United States Army on 22 FEB 2002 and completed Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Jackson a 71L Administrative Assistant. Captain Hurd Commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in May of 2008 through Officer Candidate School at Fort Benning, GA as a 35D Military Intelligence Officer.    

Captain Hurd’s previous assignments include Administrative Assistant for an S2/S1 Section for 1ST Brigade Combat Team (BCT) 101ST Airborne Division Fort Campbell, KY. Upon Commissioning Captain Hurd attended the Basic Officer Leaders’ Course II (BOLC II) located at Fort Benning. Completing BOLC II Captain Hurd attended Basic Officer Leaders’ Course III at Fort Huachuca, AZ for Military Intelligence training. Captain Hurd was assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Troop 2ND Squadron, 3RD Armor Cavalry Regiment (ACR) Fort Hood TX as an assistant S2. Captain Hurd then attended the Captains’ Career Course (CCC) at Fort Huachuca. Captain Hurd was assigned as a Battalion S2 for Headquarters and Headquarters Company for the 194TH Combat Sustainment Support Battalion (CSSB) Camp Humphreys South Korea. 1ST Battalion 1ST Information Operations Command Fort Belvoir, VA. Headquarters and Headquarters Troop Regimental Support Squadron 2D Cavalry Regiment Rose Barracks Vilseck Germany.

Captain Hurd is married to Anna Caflisch of Jamestown NY, and they have an adorable Corgi named Coco.
